looking for a new book to read!

I am currently looking for a new book to read as I haven't read any books for a while (not including academic ones though). So what could you guys recommend. Genres I would like would be thriller ones or some sort of detective...

donburi Looks like the Alex Cross series is pretty good, I guess I'm gonna try it. Also those movies look interesting too, I might try to find some time to watch them! Thanks for the info! :)
