thyst07 Ebay has the same problem as half.com, because it's the same company. They don't protect sellers. I've never heard of iOffer before, so perhaps I'll check it out.

thyst07 I couldn't bring a lot of money even if I wanted to! I'll probably have enough for a month's worth of necessities, but aside from that I'll be completely broke when I arrive. Fortunately, I'm moving there for a job.

thyst07 It doesn't really bother me that stuff is closed on Christmas day. For one thing, I've worked in retail and I know those folks need a day off! We're okay with staying in and staying cozy.

thyst07 You're completely right. That's why a box of healthy snacks is one of my ideas, so that she'd have something to munch on if she's too busy or too tired to cook a meal at the moment. I think that would make life a little easier.
