How to log on as an "Administrator" on windows xp .......?

I am trying but i dont have any account named as "Administrator" but when i am trying to make one it is saying that ......the name allready exist ....... please guide me through .........thanks

trickydicky If you set up Windows with only you as the user and no other user profiles then you are automatically the administrator. Just log in as normal and you will have administrator rights to view hidden files and make all the changes you need.

trickydicky I think it is usually but not always the case that the more numerically or technically adept a person is, the less street wise and more socially inept they appear. I think the "eccentric professor" stereotype fits in many cases.
