i dont know how one gets money if his/her website or blog has more traffic

Jake If you are selling something on your website then it means more hits, more customers. More customers, more sales.If you know about google adsense then it means more hits, more clicks on google ads which also means more revenue.

Jake Thanks a million guys. My conclusion is don't rent refs. At least not now or never. Or better still, try and gain direct refs.
