What is the leader board?

I've noticed on the bottom of some of the interest pages that there is a leader board. What is that and how do you get your name there? Does it have any purpose? Like the stars, do they have any purpose? Thanks

vidhyavini Everything is just based on the rating yar. When you create a discussion in some particular interest, if your discussion is good everyone will rate it. When everyone gives + for you, your star rating will also increase and the rank in that particular interest...

I don't think I watch enough movies. I mean, when I go out with my friends and such they always talk about have you seen this movie or that and I have no idea what they're talking about. So, give me a list of must see movies?...
