according to Uncut's newletter today, the band are writing songs together again and Ray wants them to reunite http://uncut.co.uk/news/the_kinks/news/12407

WayneDave It's kind of half want them to, and half don't for me. I never had the chance to see them (too young) and so would love to as I'm a big fan. However, I don't like that idea of bands going backwards. I guess if it was done in the right way it would be amazing....
