Working out. Not working.

I've started working out a lot more but instead of the toned trimmed body i thought i was going to see, it appears as if I have gained weight. Not good weight either. Any suggestions as to what happened?

XChelX well, it's running and kickboxing that I'm doing and it's with trainers. Also, it's not the number on the scale that's going up necessarily, but how I actually physically look. As in, I look heavier. = (
