xebazuel That's exactly how I was raised. I definitely agree with your method. The best thing is that as they get older, it is easier to just have things taken away instead of spanking, or have them do sentences. But at three years old (that's how old my nephew is)...

xebazuel I guess I would understand it a bit more if the cat had died. I would be even more outraged and appalled. I wouldn't join in with the death threats but I would understand them a lot more. I have a cat myself and I would be beyond angry if someone killed her....

xebazuel I am fed up with cruelty towards animals as well. But giving death threats does nothing, since obviously the police are then forced to protect her rather than have justice served. She should be being punished legally rather than being protected by the police....
