I have met some gays who want to date with me. But i am not a gay.I just want to be their general friend. In my country,homosexual are regarded as abnormal. So how do you think of it?

In many movies and stories,love can go on with poverty very well.But in reality,I don't think it is ture.So when you meet this situation,do you choose to leave?
