My toddler asked "Why can't we hear God's voice anymore?"

I read a Children's Bible to my son since he was 2 years old and it would be filled with interesting questions. The toughest one he has asked me is the one above. How would you answer it in a way that a toddler would understand?

Angiebblues I have to say first that I am very saddened by some of the responses you have gotten. I would tell your toddler that we have to WANT to hear his voice (Hebrews 3...Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts..." I would even read that scripture-...
