Writing sites that shut down

Do you have experience of any writing site that was shut down? I was on Helium, Squidoo and Bubblews. Helium was shut down in 2014, Squidoo was bought by Hubpages in 2014 and Bubblews shut down in 2015.

L.L. Ford I tried Helium, but didn't care for it too much. Looked into Squidoo and Hub Pages. I wrote for Associated Content for sometime, it was great! Then, Yahoo took over and it went down the tubes. I saved all my old content just in case I found another...
