How many kids should parents have?

The average family size, I believe in US is 3 or 4 children. How many kids we as parents should have, 1, 2, 3 more. Please provide your view and also why you think that number is good. In the old days, we use to have big families...

BoomerSooner We just had our first 9 weeks ago and are planning on having at least two and possibly up to four children. I can't imagine only having one, yet the decision of anything beyond 3 is one for another day. I believe the more kids you have the more you are...
