I think this is a wonderful idea! Shame the price is so high at present! Easily beat the congestion! However, imagine traffic lights in the air! Just like Back to the Future! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7821979.stm

Definitely fun! Just imagine the freedom! I used to have a private pilot's licence and the rules on flying 2/4 seaters are extreme - it is also very expensive. there is a definite need for a cheaper less-regulated alternative!

Who will win on the last day - India or England?

The first test match is nicely balanced at the end of the first day - India 131-1 needing another 256 to win. Amazingly after the disrupted build up, England are actually playing reasonably well. Whilst they should have...

Yes they did - a fantastic century by Tendulkar! A great match and the best way of moving on from the terrorist attrocities.

If parents are found guilty of abusing their children and the children are taken away fro them, should they be sterilised? Many times it appears that they simply go out and get pregnant again and there is nothing to stop...

Yes, I agree. It would have a huge backlash from those who believe that it is every woman's right to have a baby, regardless of how appalling she is as a parent. It amazes me that the UK government is effectively bribing women to have babies - on the...

I believe that the most important job we do in this world is bringing up our children. If we do it well, our children will grow up to be law-abiding, contributing, well-balanced, members of society. If we do it badly then they...

Well, in the UK children are considered to understand the difference between right and wrong at the age of 10. Below that age they are deemed too young to be charged with a crime. Over 18 they are treated as adults and receive the full punishment of the...

That's one of the main reasons I would hate it - I hate to be ordered around without agreeing with the orders. I want to be preventing crime not simply keeping up the arrest numbers. I want to be helping people avoid breaking the law. I don't think the...

You are very brave to speak out in favour of this policy so categorically. It is true there are strong reasons in favour, but do you think the government would ever go this far?

At the heart of a stable community is a stable family unit. Multiple partners, multiple children is a recipe for disaster and more and more this is common in western society. In UK an average of 25% of children are brought up without a father. In Black and...

Yes - this is the current system and so the child grows up as a victim of abuse and is more likely to become an abuser herself. Somewhere down the road the pattern of repeating abuse has to be broken - any alternative suggestions?

I dislike the term 'absent' parent unless it applies to someone who is totally 'absent'. Yes, by abdicating their responsibilities they are contributing to the poor parenting, but it is the parent who palys the largest role who is most to blame. Many separated...
