When you fed your baby, did you make up your own things to feed them or did you buy the little jars of food and feed them that?

toe_ster I did both. Starting out i bought baby jar food. When they got a bit bigger I would make my own potatoes or veggies or strained fruit. It saves money but not always time. Either one works good.

MJLami I always use tissues for my nose. As for picking it - if I'm in the bathroom I might and then wash my hands. Depends on whether blowing my nose took care of it or not.

elisa812 I pretty much just go with whatever laundry detergent seems to be the best deal at the moment. I don't really have a preference I guess. I would actually like to try making my own sometime too and see how it would work!

Lady_Justice I used to just purchase whichever laundry detergent was on sale, but I've found that I like Purex with bleach alternative. It gets a lot of stains out, more than other laundry soap, and it seems to make our clothes brighter. It's also very reasonably priced...

Have you ever burnt a hole in an item of clothing with the iron? I once ironed a thermal top and it got a lovely iron mark in it but lucky for me it was something I wore under other things so it didnt get noticed!!

elisa812 Fortunately, I have never burnt a hole in anything while ironing, but I'm always really afraid that I will! lol Whenever I iron, I'm paranoid that I'll burn the material, so then every time the iron makes any sort of noise, I jump! lol

suspenseful I burnt a table cloth once. I also burnt a blouse. Luckily there were not nylon or rayon. Unfortunately they were also quite noticeable. I had to throw both of them away.
