Is there a rice shortage going on?

I guess I can google it, but during supper, my husband was asking if there was a rice shortage. He heard that Vietnam, one of the major exporters of rice, isn't going to be exporting anymore. Did he hear wrong?

Erinl228 Yes, I just read somewhere the other day that there is a rice shortage. They are saying corn is next. Everything seems to keep going downhill and it all seems to be related to global warming.
