Good remedy for heartburn?

I am pregnant so the only antacid i'm taking is tums. But I have terrible heartburn all the time. I have even tried plain bread which usually works well for me and nothing touches it. Any ideas on things I could eat/drink that...

GoofInTexas When I was preggo with my DS, heartburn was so bad I couldn't hardly make it through the day, or night. I talked with my OB. He gave me a prescription for Ranitidine. It worked wonders. I was actually able to sleep without the burning. Maybe this will help...

GoofInTexas I was raised in a 2 parent house, with my dad being gone due to work for weeks or months at a time. My mom was most a sahm. We, at times, had my grandmother living with us. It was usually weekly grocery shopping. Then, once or twice a month, we would eat out....

Death on the roads.

It's becoming a tradition here in the UK, that if someone dies in a car accident or similar then flowers are put at the side of the road to mark the spot by the family and friends. I was just wondering if this is something people...

GoofInTexas Where I live, people put the flowers on the side of the road, no matter what the cause of the accident, but, in the same state, in a more populated area, they only do it where there was a victim of drunk driving or a child. I live in Texas.
