Hettie8 I just confirmed and bought the song off iTunes and I confirmed the version on there is the one I knew. It is by Gale Davies and is called "Grandma's Song".

Hettie8 Gail Davies is the artist who sang it originally though I'm not sure if she sang the version I knew.

Hettie8 This song is called "Grandma's Song" and was on a compilation called "Country Sunrise". It is likely out of print now, but it was definitely on tape somewhere. You might check amazon.com. p.s. I only signed up to give you this info.
