I've thought about having our 4 month old kitten declawed. She's been scratching the couch and the carpet. It drives me nuts. I worry though that if she ever gets outside and has to fend for herself that she won't be able to...

JeannaUO Nope, it's like press-on nails for people -- after a day or so she won't even notice they're there.

JeannaUO It's illegal in the UK and most other countries except USA because of what it actually involves. "Declawing" is actually cutting off the last joint of each toe. It's like cutting off your baby's fingers so that he won't grow up to bite his nails.
