much2say @Liaoyue That may be true - how a mother can affect her daughter is something universal. Although I must say I can be like both my mother and father . . . but it's interesting how they are both very opposite of each other and have very different family...

much2say @Liaoyue Well - not by the appearance of the people, but certainly by costume, speech, history, food, etc that we see in the movie. One of the ladies in the movie is Japanese-American (the Waverly character).
