celestemichelle I wouldn't pay extra rent just to have a pet. I totally understand an extra deposit because of the potential for more damage, but a monthly pet rent on top of that is crazy. I can't really imagine having a pet, especially a dog, that was almost always indoors....

Modestah that is a bit unfair, valerie, the woman may not have known there would be a rent increase - she may have had the cat and then later one the landlord decided to change the terms of renting. if the landlord wants a few hundred dollars secrity deposit and in...

bellaofchaos See I knew I would get people thinking. To me there is no normal only what we feel is acceptable. LOL!!! Every one has a different definition of normal or crazy .. I didn't start this to get a cookie cutter answer but to get peoples ideas of what they think...
