Toast and calories?

Well i love to eat bread after it is toasted brown and a friend told me today if we toast the bread we loose carbohydrates in bread as they burn and thus calories in it. So my fellow mylotters what is your take on this?

Quizkid I am not 100% on just "toasted" side of it all but say you did burn your toast it would change the chemical make up and therefore there would be less calories,burning the toast would create carbon on the outside of the bread changing it completely
