Best free antivirus?

Hi everyone. I want to ask you which is the best free anti virus for PC? I have tried avast and other, Now I have Avira anti virus. What do you think about them?

vishnu_badlapur I have never used the one you told but I have been using AVG for more than 2 years now and is a great anti-virus.... I have never faced a virus problem all these years...

deb121 kaspy, (or kaspersky), I use it for 3 years, and I have'n problems with my pc, but you asked for one free, I don't think is one "best", maybe malicious for comp.

tjhtommyj Free anti-virus programs, AVG is the way to go for me. I've been using it for 6-7 years and never had any problems with viruses or spyware.

Venkataraman I'm using AVG free edition. It works better for me so far. I experienced a real fast scan with Kaspersky (or caspersky) because it resided in the Network layer of memory instead of traditional memory. While all other anti-viruses slow down our PC, this...

best07 I'm using avast too. So far so good. Was using CA previously when it was providing free trial annually. Switched to avast since then.

Almost in every program there is an option of upgrade. I wanted to ask you guys, have you upgraded and where? Was it worth that?

ravinskye the only site i have upgraded with was clixsense. i think it was worth it for that. It was only $10 for the year to upgrade. I made that $10 back pretty fast with the increase amount of ads I got as a premium member. I don't know about any other sites.

Sergeantrom The only sites I upgraded was clixsense and emailpaysu. Dont know yet if it was worth it on clixsense but they are a reliable company so I know they will be around. With emailpaysu they Guaranteed 25+ referrals with the upgrade and they kept their word so that...
