I was a cutter from 13-15. I did it mainly for attention, even though I had friends and was busy all of the time. I know some VERY young "cutters" and they are dear to my heart. Why do YOU think teens cut themselves?

toonatoons perhaps, not really suicidal, but in certain cases, like severe depression from lack of attention, it could develop into such.

toonatoons i think they're doing it for the same reason that you, yourself did --- to get the attention that they need. it's a sad reality, indeed.

amanda_marie I used to do that but I've stopped. I alwasy found it hard to deal with my emotions and and I could'nt understand being upset tover something I could'nt see or touch. In a way the cutting the marks gave me something to link all the tears and anger to.

juss1ofdemdayz Myspace is getting kind of boring to me also. I just use it to keep in touch with old friends. At some points I dealt with the usual myspace drama and got hate messages. As annoying as it was at the time, I think it made my myspace experience more fun....
