why are mouse fond of cheese?

i have seen in cartoons that mouse eat cheese, ios it true, if so what is special about cheeese that the mice like so much, is it the smell or is it the taste of cheese

UserNome They eat anything but there not to fond of cheese, try rabbit food, they love rabbit food.
