Reno Go for VB.net. The language is in English. easy to understand. good for beginner. after you comfortable with creating application UI and simple task, then will be easy for you to learn and think the logic and algorithms.

switch it off when you are not using it? i switch it off when i am not using it but the laptop is mostly in the hibernation mode.. what about you?

Reno You get me right. If you go to Power Options Properties, You can see how much disk space you require for hibernation under Hibernate tab. In my case, I require 2GB of disk space.

Reno If it doesn't help, then try to update your bios. You need to check the model of your mobo. If you still get the message, change the battery, or just change your mobo.
