A1tooter Are you saying that as long as I take the medication, I am not producing stomach acid? I will again produce it when I stop taking it?

Once you get Acid Reflux, why do we tend to believe it stays with us for the rest of our lives? Has anyone experienced this and actually cured themselves of it...I'm not talking treatment with antacids, I mean have you overcome...

A1tooter Well, the stress eems to be a common factor with both of us... I now drink Green Tea in the morning to relieve my stomach...you may want to try that out. By the Way, I ate after 7PM last night and it did not seem to affect me...which is good, I will not...

A1tooter Yes, I stand corrected...thank you. It is Aciphex...how is a proton pump inhibitor different from an antacid? Are you going to try Aciphex?

A1tooter Yes, Aciphlex is a prescription medication, I received samples from my Gastroenterologist. It does seem to work, I am feeling better, but I was told it takes up to a month to work. I didn't give Prevacid a fair chance to work on me, I took it occasionally...

A1tooter Interesting...I'm cutting down on the triggers and see what happens while taking my Aciphex...Prevacid didn't seem to work too well for me. But I wasn't really giving it a good chance either... I'll see. Sorry about your carbonated drink reactions...
