Anne User I try not to judge people too much on their choice, but I will say it's heartbreaking to see the number of abandoned pets who offer nothing but love, joy and companionship if only given the chance.

Anne User Wow, that's interesting that you say that you've had more health issues from bought dogs than adopted dogs. When we receive strays or surrendered dogs into the rescue, they all have to by law go through a full vetting process, ie, vaccines, health check,...

What do you think of minors getting the covid vaccine? Should they be able to choose whether they want it or not? I have decided to give my teen the choice, but I'm not sure if this is the right way to go. Anybody else have this...

Anne User I get your point. I feel the same about minors making choices. I think my concern is the unknown long term effects I could be exposing them to. It's not yet like other vaccines that have had many years to be tried and tested.

Anne User I agree about the testing time being short. Concerning covid not affecting kids as much, I always try to remember that they could still pass it on to someone who could seriously be affected. I guess it's also a social care choice for me.

Anne User Those are good. Something we often forget is that we can (hopefully) charge our phones in the car too if the electricity goes down.

Anne User Here in Florida the CDC put a ban on them sailing. Only now are some companies starting up again. They have been sitting in the ports since 2020. I have a close family member who is in the cruise industry, so it's a frequent discussion.

Anne User Ok! I've worked on cruise ships too. But I never really realized how much they impact the ecology. Grey water dumping, etc.
