spalladino Because you can't spend your way out of a recession and the Market knows this. Unfortunately, history has shown us this prior to WWII. It was the war that eventually caused our economy to recover, which makes me very nervous about Obama's plans.

lilwonders you know when I did my taxes last week I had to claim my stimulus check from Bush on it. It was tax dollars that got taxed again. Talk about a crock.

newtondak We get stimulus checks that come from our tax dollars and then we have to pay additional taxes on the stimulus checks - doesn't make any sense!

lilwonders Unless a stimulus check is being mailed directly to me....it will not effect me. The last round of bail outs did not help the economy. I do not espect this round too either. We are throwing good money after bad away and creating mor national debt.

newtondak This is very true and from what I have heard, there are to stimulus "checks" included in this plan. Until they figure out a way to get money to the working class so spending will occur, there will be no effect on the economy.

baileycows I don't think it will affect me directly but indirectly of course because this is not a solution to our problem. We are trying to fill up a bucket with water that has holes in it and you can't do that. You can't borrow money to get out of debt. That is insane....
