Do you give your kids an allowence?

I am thinking of givin my kids an allowence every week to help them learn the "value" of a dollar. Just wondering what is enuff without being too much. Do you give your kids an allowence and if so, how much?

Shoes sure are crazy today. I saw in magazines...open-toed BOOTS! Yes, boots with an open toe! I burst out laughing! Ankle boots or knee high...both are open toe! What's the point of the boot if the toe is open! And ankle high...
