biwasaki That is a GREAT idea! The paperback would have to be thrown out afterwards, but at least you would be getting something out of it. I am definitely going to bookmark that site. Have you ever tried this?

biwasaki Those websites are the best for trading old, readable books. All you pay for is shipping, which is way less than buying it brand new at a bookstore.

biwasaki Recycling is a great idea...I didn't even think about that. :P I will look into it and see if there is anywhere here that recycles old, unreadable books. Thanks for the suggestion.

biwasaki Yes, I am such a book lover that I can't bring myself to throw away the ones that are unreadable. I do trade the readable ones for other books though. I just wish there were something I could do with the rest.

biwasaki I trade my readable books at http://www.paperbackswap.com. I also trade readable books and magazines at http://www.bookmooch.com. It's just the old ones with missing, damaged, or worn covers that I have in the box...and just can't throw away. LOL.
