goldfish pellets or flakes?

hello!i have a small rep cap oranda, should i feed him goldfish pellet or flakes? i tried to feed him flakes but he eats it very slowly... he chews a flake for like a minute or so... is pellets any better?thanks!

i stumbled upon this question while surfing the net... i found it pretty interestinG!! hahahaaha!! so, why do you guys think so?? probably to stretch their eyes/face? i don't know.. hahahah
