bouncybug The beef wellington was delicious - I didn't make that dish, it was my room mate who made it and it seems like it is a very technically difficult dish to make! But she managed to get it done perfectly.. Glad that I had the slightly easier part!

bouncybug Funny you should say this - I actually had a dinner party with some vegetarian friends the other day as well. We had a delicious roast veg and soya salad, it was great.

bouncybug So true - I was worried that the cooking was going to be a failure but it turns out that as great as the food was, that wasn't even the best part of the evening - it was more about the company. So I definitely feel better prepared now for the next time...

bouncybug Haven't made any plans for another one just yet.. But after I posted these pics on facebook I had a flurry of requests for invitations to the next one! So I guess it will have to be sometime soon :)

bouncybug Oh yes, I also love doing cookouts, and picnic food is so yum - its great to have foods that you can just pick up and eat with your fingers, and of course a huge variety of food like a picnic is just the best thing!

bouncybug Haha I love cooking and EATING! But you know what, you can also enjoy these kind of dinner parties then - maybe you can be the one to provide the drinks or something so that you don't have to cook but can still enjoy the dinner party and contribute in some...

bouncybug Yes, gnocci is kind of like a pasta, but its made out of potatoes, so really its like little potato dumplings! Its very tasty but also quite stodgy and extremely filling!

This is something that I have always wondered, and as I was flying today I asked myself again - why on earth do we have to switch our cell phones off on a plane? I forgot to bring a book to read on my flight and was in the middle...

bouncybug I always wonder what the purpose is of phones having a flight mode function if no one is ever allowed to use them, even in flight mode, on a flight! Also another interesting thought - if you are flying in a small, private, non-commercial plane, like a 4 seater...

bouncybug Thanks for your response! This is very interesting and all these responses are helping me to answer something that has been bugging me for AGES! Isn't that the great thing about MyLot? I understand now why they have to tell you to switch them off - I guess...
