Is there any special things I need to know about fishing for Walleye? Moved near Maumee River in Ohio and going as soon as it warms up!

My husband and son went fishing day before yesterday and came home with 6 large catfish. The biggest one was a 6 pounder caught by my 12 year old son. He was so elated about catching that big fish that he couldn't stop talking...
