cataclysm The Intels have more cache, AMDs can benefit from HyperTransport (a replacement for FSB). AMDs works with more instructions per clock than the Intel processors. The two have instructions sets for virtualization, and many other features. You need to think...

cataclysm The Atlhon XP series have a problem with the temperature (they tend to be high), but not in the AMD64 series. It is normal to be at 30~40°C. I have an AMD64 for more than 1 year and don't have problems with it, regarding temperatures.

AMD or Intel

I want to buy computer, but I have problem, should I choose Intel Conroe E4300, or using AMD Athlon X2 5000+. I use it mostly for gaming. And what about VGA, is ATI HD2600 series is enough? Anyone have suggestions ?

cataclysm I agree. AMD is a very good platform and for the graphics card, nVidias have more features than the ATIs of the same level (and they have better support too). Don't forget that a good motherboard is also recommended if you will use the PC to play games....
