previously 40 GB,now 80 ,120,160 GB is running for desktop systems previously compact disk(700 mb),now dvd(5 gb),blu ray disk (40 gb) in near future is this really helpful to people

cataclysm You would like to update your software. So, you need to update your hardware as well. One of the most causes of bad performance is to use new softwares with old hardwares.

cataclysm yeah, I think you could make use of a new PC. If you buy a new one, you can upgrade your operational system, that usually gives you less problems.

I've used ubuntu for a few days have found that its user interface is really appealing and well polished.I personally feel,it will replace Windows XP/Vista in near future.What do you feel about it?

cataclysm Maybe, but I think Ubuntu and others Linux distributions faces many resistances to adoption. They are already sucessful in the server market. In the Desktop market, there is still a long path... But we are getting better :)
