How do you help a child to sleep with insomnia

I have a child that suffers from Insomnia. The Doctors don't want to put her on medication for it because she is still so young. They tell me to give her Benedryl. I think that giving her Benedryl all the time can't be good...

celiaco My Ob/Gyn told me to take benadryl when I was pregnant, because she didnt want me taking ambien or other sleep med for insomnia. She told me that benadryl was safe for pregnancy and that must be what your doctor believes for your daughter. I can understand...

Water Retention

I've heard alot on the topic "Water Retention". I'm not very sure what causes it. Is it due to excess water consumption? And is there a way to get rid or prevent it?

celiaco Definately dont restrict your water intake this will only make your body hold onto the water it does have. Reducing your salt intake and increasing your water intake could improve this.
