Can you operate a computer without a monitor?

WTF! My monitor of my desktop computer doesn't work now. I found it this morning, it was all right last night!! Though I brought my laptop from my school, so I haven't stuck in the worst no-computer...

chengly I think you can borrow a monitor from your friends. After you copy your files to your laptop, you can return it to your friends.
