I was reading in a Magazine that people are less likely to adopt a black dog. Because they cannot read them as well, and they seem aggressive. I thought this was weird but apparently failry common. They said that more black dogs...

chluvcw Hahahaha, yep, all the time, sit for too long in an uncomfortable chair and my butt falls asleep. I don't get the shooting pains of "pins and needles" like I do when my foot or leg falls asleep, but it is numb and it feels funny to walk until it "wakes" back...

How self-sufficient are you?
I was raised by a very strong woman. She deplored weakness of any sort. She raised her children male and female alike to be self-sufficient, thereby never having to depend on anyone else for the...

How do you pay your bills? (credit card, utilities, car payment) Do you use the old fashioned way (like I do) by writing a check, inserting it into an envelope with the bill, addressing then using a stamp to mail it off? Or do you...

chluvcw We generally pay our bills through the website of the place we are paying, whether it is a utility bill or a credit card. Just make sure that there is a symbol in the corner of the browser like a lock, this means the site is secured. Also, I have a coupe of...

Given all the horror stories about skin cancer from too much exposure to the sun rays, do you now wear sunblock to protect your skin while working outdoors? When I was growing up we thought nothing of going to the pool and getting...

I was just wondering what practices you used for uninvited visitors that come to your home unexpectedly?
After dinner when everything is finished, we like to shower, put on relaxing/night clothes, maybe pop some popcorn and...

chluvcw With crime bring what it is now, visiting other at night is not a good thing to practice anymore. Someone who comes to my house after dark are greeted at the door by the barking growling dog, lol. They usually don't want to come in then. Otherwise, if we don't...

The most common answer to this question is, "because of the high risk of birth defects in offsping from close relatives".
That would seem like a logical answer, but we don't bar anyone else with a high risk of passing on birth...

chluvcw It was forbidden by the Church, and the Church ruled central Europe all through the dark ages and so instilled the idea against incest that it still carries on today.
Plus, from a scientific point of view, you want as large a gene pool as one can get, too...
