My mom loves to wash our dirty clothes by hands. She said the dirt on neck and underarms cannot be thoroughly cleaned by washing machine. However, when I am busy, I would prefer to use the washing machine. What do you prefer?

librarygeek1980 I do the washing machine thing too, but it's gotta be the top load version, I have heard nothing but bad reviews on the front loaders. Although, since you mention washing clothes by hand, any tips or tricks on how to get the armpit odors out of clothes?

Courtney Never once did by hand, and i feel bad for all those who have to. Washing machines should be available to everyone.

Pitstop In India women wear saris and these are difficult to wash using a washing machine. I also find thick curtains difficult to put in a machine. On the other hand, I have even washed backpacks and shoes in a washing machine to try and get them clean!
