collegegal I wish that what is going on with your daughter took place at my school. We are aloud to use graphing calculators at school but not at home but the good thing is i guess we are taught how to do them by hand first

collegegal I totally agree!!!!! Callista Flockhart grew on me too. Hope it last too! When a show can make me both laugh and cry before the credits roll then I know it is worth watching over and over. They one the Golden Globe for best drama!!!!!!!!!!YEAH!! Maybe this...

I grew up watchng Dawson's Creek. I really miss all of them, Dawson, Joey, Pacey, Jack, Jen and even Dawson's parents! i miss the creek and the Bed and Breakfast too..What do you miss about Dawson's?

collegegal My favorite show is Dawson's Creek too... each year for christmas I get one of the seasons... I really miss it and I can't wait to see the third season all the way through...I miss the way that the characters loved each other...it just gave me hope

collegegal My favorite song is "I have had the Time of My Life," the song that they dance to at the end. Patrick Swazye actually wrote "She's Like the Wind"... I do love the whole soundtrack though!!!

collegegal I absolutely loved the scene where Johnny tells the father that "Nobody puts baby in a corner." And then the dance follows!!!!!!! I love Dirty Dancing and it is hard to pick a scene but this one is mine!!!!

Why are black Americans called "African Americans"?

I know this may not be a politically correct question, but why are American born black people called "African Americans'? I don't get it, if you were born in America, aren't you simply American?

Do you like this book and if so why? This is one of my favorite books. I love how Winston questions the authority and in the end how it ultimatly destroys him when he gives up what he truely loves due to his fear.

collegegal I really liked 1984. I read it a few years back. Winston is something else. I really enjoy the symbolism. George Orwell's books are all filled with symbolism. You should reread Animal Farm and see if you like it better now that you have read 1984.
