Just out of curiousity i want to try the Ubuntu linux OS but i'm not sure about the security features there and if wether it supports most anti-viruses.I'm currently on windows XP professional but i want to try the Ubuntu...

You don't need an antivirus for your Linux system. If you start using Linux, you can forget about all those habbits you got using Windows: antiviruses, anti-spyware programs. They're simply useless in Linux since viruses can't infect a Linux system and spyware...

"Linux is hard to use" is a well-spread myth from the '90's. The truth is that Linux is actually easier than Windows. Give it a try on a LiveCD (no need to install it) and convince yourself. :)

Linux is in some ways even more user-friendly than Windows. Ubuntu for example needs 6 clicks to install.
