youless Here it's very impolite to use red pen to write to somebody. Usually it will mean to end up a relationship, such as finishing the friendship. So blue or black pen will be a common way to write. I like black ink pen, because it looks formal and clear.

myfanwy65 I like black fine or super-fine. I write big, so if the pen isn't fine, it takes up a lot more room. I also write messy and fine pens use less ink. LOL

scarywhitegirl I use blue and red pens most of the time. The red ones are primarily for when I am editing, because they show up very nicely against printed text.

APasserBy I like blue better than black. but if it's not white paper it seems black works better, more readable. red only if I have no other pen or just because the paper color will kill other colors.

Penguinsangel My Mom and step-dad usually pay. In-Laws though its usually just each pays for their own it seems. We do treat both to lunch or dinner sometimes if it hits right and we can.
