litu86 Diabetes is not always familial. In fact it is a disease which can be placed in a group of familial disease.But you can say there is chance but it dose not mean that you will surely have it. may be you won't owe it at all till the end...so keep...

Manick Yes,heredity plays an important role in confering susceptiblity to diabetes.The closer the blood relationship to a diabetic,greater are the chances of developing diabetes.
