drim1020 I prefer desktop because of price constraint and I am not a person thats always on the go. You can purchase two or more desktop pc with a price of one laptop. I use desktop computer just for surfing the net and researching some stuffs.

drim1020 I got trojan in searching for windows xp themes, I downloaded this theme from themexp.org and install it on my computer and bang! my antivirus detected a trojan. I'm glad i have a antivirus to alert me. Just update your anti spyware and antivirus often.

My windows 98 suddenly became very slow, I check for viruses and spyware but none was reported. Windows 98 loads normally but after a while, opening applications causes the system to hang momentarily. What could be wrong!

drim1020 If you have done scandisk and other scanning program and your computer still slow, i suggest you backup all your important files and do format your hardisk and a clean install of windows. And also check your memory sticks, one maybe defective.

drim1020 If you buy processors from the Philippines, i think intel is cheaper than amd right now, Intel E2140 is cheaper than amd athlon 64 3800. though intel e2140 runs at 1.8ghz compare to amd 3800 that runs at 2ghz, intel e2140 has 1mb cache and you can overclocked...

drim1020 if you are on a tight budget... having onboard video card will cut your cost on building a computer. choosing a average processor could be enough for the things you are doing at the moment. windows xp could be a little pain in the pocket but linux is free.

drim1020 I joined one website that pays you on posting ads on safelists, classified ads etc. well i had to pay for the membership though but it really pays for the worked done. posting ads is time consuming so i just stop.
