Ipod Freezes!!!

I need help. sometimes when I try and play my Ipod, the first song freezes. I then have to wait for the battery to die and recharge it. I will then reconnect it and it works fine. Any suggestions,pleez?

ewanmci this happened to me once, i had to reset the ipod. to do this swtch hold on then off and hold the center button and menu together. This should work.
