Do you cats stay out at night?

I was wondering whether other people keep their cats in at night, or put them out? I like to keep mine in. I encourage them to come in at dusk, feed them, then they're in until morning when they get let out again. Around here...

gary34 ive tried to get my 2 cats to stay in at night for 2 years but they sit at the back door crying! Not sure if they have somewhere better to be or else they just like being out all night but they seem happiest out at night so now i just let them be
