We all have such different concepts of God and I was thinking that it might be a good idea if we were to give our ideas, without judgement in any way. Do you think we can do that? I will start by saying that I don't think of God...

To me evil is actually necessary sometimes, because if we didn't have evil, how could we know what good is? Without dark, how could there be a light? Without dusk, how can there be a dawn? Without negative, how can we make a positive?

I don't think it's true that some of us are the children of some "devil", some of us just choose wrong paths in our life, and make wrong choices. Some people tell us it's too late to change our actions because we've committed so many sins, but this is not...

This is an idea about the divine I used to have when I was a Deist. I suppose I'm still Deistic in a sense, because I still believe in using our good reason, and that the divine won't hand us everything on a silver platter. However, after finding Kemet, and...

I have to say this. I as a Pagan see the divine as being dualistic, meaning it also possesses attributes that we would call evil, but we don't always see that a bad situation can turn out for the good in the end. We would call that evil. See, we as Kemetics...

Bamboo I kinda see the gods as attributes of one cosmic collective one could call God. I don't see a problem if one wants to worship the divine as the collective, or as the sum of it's parts. We all have a desire to know the divine, because we have a part of...

I agree. That is the highest form of service to the divine, to help our fellow man. We have a duty to each other as fellow living beings.

Reading the Gnostic Gospels and Buddhist sutras might better help one understand how God is within each one of us. I recommend the Gospel of Thomas especially. "If your leaders say to you, look the kingdom is in the sky, the birds of the sky will proceed...

I certainly believe God as a whole is unfathomable to the human mind. I guess that's why I as a Pagan believe God consists of many attributes, names, and persons. The sum of a whole, which I can never entirely fathom. Thinking about God in it's pure cosmic...

Look, I am a Pagan, and I don't "use God" for personal gain. I realize there are many who misuse their belief in the divine to profit, and believe me, those people will pay the piper.

Define "non-believer". Someone who doesn't suscribe to your box you put God in?

Personally, the idea of someone dying for my actions bothers me. I am responsible for my own actions.

I pretty much see God in life itself like you said. I see the divine in all things, both good and bad, because sometimes bad works out to the end of good.

I agree that we are all born with some need to know the divine. I've even seen the children of Atheists question belief in God, and seek out a genuine relationship, but then their parents squelch it.

Well I as a Kemetic believe that the universe is the father of all gods. The ancient Egyptians called the primordial universe from even which the names of God were born, Nun. Nun was the first name of Netjer, and is the last. The universe is where all life,...

I have found that when people talk about GOD they always follow it up with He is this or that. Why is GOD referred to as a HE? Why not a SHE or an IT? What do you think GOD is exactly? Why do you think that?

I would argue that God being referred to as "We" in he Bible could actually be more then one, but not the Trinity. I'm not a Christian, and not trying to validate the Trinity belief. What I mean is that the Tanakh (Old Testament) contains various attribute...

Kemetics have a similar view of God, because we call God "Netjer", which means divine power or force. We believe this divine force consists of many names such as Ra, Heru, Aset, Nit, etc., but they are all part of one collective "God".

Actually in the modern world most Pagans think of men and women as total equals. The fact that we view the divine as having feminine attributes also shows that our ancestors respected women in the old religions. Some Pagan societies didn't respect women, but a...

Since you seem a tad more open minded alacan I will tell you that some early Christians thought the Holy Spirit was female before the Catholic Church stepped in.

Yes that is strange, especially since so many of these religions claim God isn't a man, or is beyond human understanding. I am a Pagan, so I believe the divine consists of both male and female attributes. I usually refer to God as "it".
