Cure/help for sore throat

My fiancé seems to have a sore throat which he's had for a couple of days now and is still getting worse. Have tried giving him Strepsil type losengers. Any ideas for a cure or anything to make it even slightly better?

GemLou I used to write a lot of romance type stories years ago but now I write more diaryt entries and articles in blog format. I generally tend to write about something if I like it or have a strong opinion about it.

GemLou Yes I get random cravings, mostly for sweet things provoked by other people e.g. talking about cookies has made me want some. I tend to be highly influenced by others.

GemLou I don't mind apologising as I don't like to leave arguements too long as it upsets me in the end. I often go away to calm down and think about it then come back to apologise - that way you've both had a chance to think it through.

GemLou I bought my car as a used car and don't regret it for a second. No-one in my family is in a position to buy a brand new car so used is our only choice. As long as you check it over thoroughly before buying a used car can be just as good as a new one.

GemLou I've ordered pizza from Dominos on several times and have only really had issues a couple of times like when the orders failed. It's especially handy when we cannot be bothered to go and get dinner. I do feel bad if I call them out in bad weather though.
