gunjack Find your budget and needs and remember that you are buying into a system of lens and flash too, not just the camera. All the major brands are very competitive and competent now. I would not discount brands like Sony and in fact I was considering getting it...

gunjack Hi Ah Gong, Regarding your comment about Sony DSLR taking only Memory Stick only, I think you are mistaken. I believe Sony DSLR takes CF cards too in addition to Memory Stick, they have a Dual Slot. Cheers!

gunjack Youless. Its how badly you want it. You can prioritise, and work towards the accquiring of what you want. If you dont want it bad enough, you can give whatever reasons and excuses and everything will be too expensive.

gunjack I agree with Mondoh... Use the right tools for the right application. When I use my DSLR camera, I never felt that I needed to use it as a video camera. Cheers!

gunjack The best way is to try out both D80 and 400D. Which feels better to hold and operate. Which provide better support and aftersales in your area. Both would be good, but I would prefer the Nikon D80 coz i have larger hands.
