jacobsguardian I agree with you. We try to make our kids accountable for their own work, and we encourage them to be self-sufficient in that respect, but I may have to alter my standing on that, at least in regards to this. Thanks for the tips.

If you go to a restaurant and the food isn't cooked the way you ordered it, do you send it back? Does anyone think they've ever had their food messed with when they sent it back? Any horror stories?

jacobsguardian I'm with you on that. Most of the time I just try to live with it and eat it, both because I don't want to bother people, but also because I don't want anyone to spit in my food!

jacobsguardian The reward system is a good idea. A promise to take him to Chuck E. Cheese will probably get him on the right track. Thanks for the suggestion.

jacobsguardian He's 8, and he always does his homework as soon as he gets home from school. He has a student planner that he is supposed to write things down it, but even with constant reminders from the teacher, he stills doesn't do it then uses the excuse "I forgot"....

jacobsguardian Sorry to hear about your loss. I used to be like you, always stressing about things. Now it seems my husband and I have changed places--he stresses and I tell him to calm down.

jacobsguardian Unfortunately, I think there are more people out there being unfaithful. I have to blame it partly on the fact that divorces are so easy to come by these days. If it were harder for people to get divorced, maybe they would try harder to make the marriage work....

jacobsguardian And doesn't it always seem like such a simple solution?--put things back where they belong and you wouldn't waste so much time looking for it. I tell my kids that until I'm blue in the face, and they still don't get it.
